Vector Renewables, Technical Advisor in the Acquisition of a portfolio of Photovoltaic Projects in Italy by VERBUND
Vector Renewables is pleased to have assisted Verbund AG as Technical Advisor in their recent acquisition of about 110 MWp PV portfolio in Central Italy (Lazio). This portfolio, sold by KE-RENINVESTMENT S.A., the Spanish holding company of the Turkish investor Kinesis Enerji, consists of two projects in an advanced stage of development that share a substation and are consolidated into one project company.
The team at Vector Renewables has provided the Technical Due Diligence for Verbund, which has been instrumental for the success of this operation by covering aspects such as:
- Site Assessment.
- Design Review.
- Technical review of land contracts.
- Permitting analysis of the plants and connection infrastructures.
- Energy Yield Assessment.
- Technical review of financial model.
This acquisition, successfully closed on 30th July 2024, aligns with VERBUND's ambitious 2030 strategy, which contemplates significant growth and value creation in the areas of solar and wind energy, with a target of around 25% of its total electricity to be generated by photovoltaic systems and onshore wind power plants.
Asside to the technical support provided by Vector Renewables, Verbund was also assisted by Parola Associati as Legal Advisor and IPG Lex&Tax that provided the Tax and Financial DD.
