Vector Renewables announces that it has received authorization from the National Energy Commission (CNE) of the Dominican Republic to carry out analyses and technical studies of solar resources.

This important milestone allows Vector Renewables to continue developing its business in LATAM and the Caribbean, led by Vicente Garcia Montero, our Country Manager in Mexico, who remarked: "In the face of regulatory uncertainty and a slowdown in other markets across the region, the Dominican Republic is committed to EE.RR and attracting private investment. Vector Renewables is proud to continue accompanying its local and global clients with consulting and construction supervision services in the country".

The resolution of the CNE issued on June 27th, 2024, confirms that Vector Renewables has completed all the necessary requirements for the implementation of the relevant studies on the island.

The project, located in the northeast of the country with a total capacity of more than 50 MWp, is expected to be a leading edge facility that will make a significant contribution to renewable energy production in the Dominican Republic.

Vanesa Ailed Morales, a member of the Technical Advisory team at the detailed service, commented: “Designing the layout of this solar plant was an exciting challenge. We had to consider factors such as the topography of the land, optimal solar orientation, and environmental restrictions. By overcoming these challenges, we have managed to develop a project that maximizes the production of clean energy and minimizes its environmental impact. Thanks to this production study, we have taken a giant step towards the energy transition in the Dominican Republic”.
