Vector Renewables, a leading independent advisor on renewable projects, has been selected by Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure to carry out the grid connection studies for a photovoltaic plant located in northern Mexico with a total capacity of 240 MWp.

The Vector Renewables Mexico team, led by Vicente García, Country Manager for the country, will develop a preliminary plant design to support the request for an indicative interconnection study to CENACE (Power Plants and Connection of Load Centers), in accordance with the guidelines of the 2018 interconnection manual. This study will include preliminary sizing of the plant, verification of spacing between sites, and a layout plan detailing structures and access routes. Accordingly, the Mexican team will also generate additional production profiles describing the expected energy production under various conditions.

Ricardo Gines, Technical Advisory Specialist in Mexico, wanted to emphasize: “The renewable sector in Mexico is regaining speed after some years of lethargy and at Vector we are very pleased to support our clients with all the necessary technical information in each of the development phases of the projects.”

This project represents another step in the trajectory of Vector Renewables in the American continent, where it already has more than 10 years of experience and nearly 350 MW in renewable assets under management, in addition to having advised developers, financiers, investors, EPC owners and owners in hundreds of solar, wind and hydroelectric projects throughout the region.
